1. Who we are

Music Bees (musicbees.saktanber.com) is a personal project that lets users listen to music and watch videos together in synchronized rooms. It is operated by Bora Saktanber.

2. Information we collect

• Account data — your name, email address, and profile picture provided by Google when you sign in with Google OAuth.
• Usage data — rooms you create or join, queue activity, and chat messages within those rooms.
• Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) for security and debugging purposes.

3. How we use your information

• To authenticate you and display your profile to room members.
• To operate synchronized playback and real-time chat features.
• To send friend requests and room invitations on your behalf.
• To improve reliability and fix bugs.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is stored in a Supabase (PostgreSQL) database. We use Google OAuth solely for authentication — we do not request access to your Google Drive, Gmail, or any other Google service beyond your basic profile.

5. Data retention

Your account and associated data are retained for as long as your account exists. You can request deletion by contacting us at the email below.

6. Cookies & storage

We use a session cookie (via NextAuth.js) to keep you signed in and localStorage to remember your theme preferences. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing bora@saktanber.com.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of Music Bees after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
